or the world of Div 1 will pass them by. Article says beg ACC or Big Ten because the Big Least is fading away
and this was before Pitt and Syracuse were locked in.

Yeah I read that this morning. USA Today is reporting that according to an anonymous ACC official Rutgers and UCONN will be invited if the ACC decides to go to 16 so I think that they are in.

Funny last year Rutgers was begging to get into Big Ten and I said I didn't want to live in Big 10 country (Not that it mattered I guess). I can live with the ACC

I wouldn't want to live in Bayonne regardless of what conference Rutgers is in.
I'm just kidding, I grew up 10 minutes from Rutgers so I am allowed to make fun of Jersey only cause I know the truth about the state.

Even his article mentioned that the B1G was still the best choice, but I really don't see how that is the case. It's been pretty obvious that the power in football has shifted to the south and I see the B1G as a conference in decline. They still have the population for big TV contracts, but even the population advantage is eroding as states like Georgia, Florida, NC, etc have added millions of people each while Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, etc are flat.

I don't like being locked in with uconn though. I think the two schools are trying to sell a package deal on the NYC tv market. Ild rather the acc, but the big 10 would be fine. Just gotta make sure you're not on the outside looking in.

Maybe you should be thankful for being locked in with UCONN. What does Rutgers really bring to a conference besides potential and the promise of NYC metro viewers that they could never deliver?
