Fantasy Football Cannot Exist with Covid

As long as covid exists and football ends when it gets cold, it's going to be impossible to have a legitimate fantasy football playoff because of the disruption caused by covid protocols. Either the NFL is going to have to loosen the rules to make sure more players can play or fantasy football's going to have to take a break until this gets sorted out.

Real life football can’t exist with current Covid protocols. This could ruin both college football and the super bowl.

Take a break??? LOL. You’re delusional. Maybe it’ll evolve / adjust / change. But no chance “fantasy football” (I assume you mean all fantasy??) takes a break.

Serious FFB may need to take a rest. This only benefits the FFB content creators but completely destroys the integrity of any FFB league.

Yeah some of the teams in my league are absolutely ravaged with covid designations.
I’m on an 8 game win streak headed into my league’s super bowl next week with kupp, Jonathan Taylor and Justin Jefferson; I’ll be pissed if one of these dudes catches covid. Looks like I’ll be facing the 6th seed who got lucky and scooped up ekeler’s replacement yesterday.

This same trope gets beaten to death in my home dynasty league. The roster size is 36 active/4 IR/5 TAXI with 8 offensive starters, a kicker, and 8 IDP.

There is a huge difference in a dynasty league with 26 bench spots and a normal year to year league with 6 or 7 bench spots. You are trying to compare leagues that are in no way shape or form the same. Covid is definitely affecting the playoffs this year.

You ain’t lying. I was a first round bye playing a horrible 6 seed team in my league. I’m up 24 points when his Miami D scores 27 points against a Covid stricken saints offense.

Every team is having to deal with it. Some to a greater degree, but injuries and Covid happen.

Fournette is on IR, not out due to Covid.
Any Cook owner that doesn’t have Mattison on their bench did it wrong, and Ekeler was already banged up and Jackson should have been picked up weeks ago heading into the playoff run.
I’m not disagreeing with the overall point of OP, but most people claiming that Covid ruined their championship run are likely being hyperbolic and overstating their situation, just like in most things in life nowadays.

The difference is that injuries are almost impossible to happen at the same rate. Covid can destroy half your team in a day while also making it possible for the players to play until right up to the game. The pervasiveness and instability are just not compatible with an odds-based game like FFB. The fact this is happening during playoffs amplifies it.
