GolfWRX classifieds or Facebook marketplace

GolfWRX, Facebook Marketplace, Reddit, eBay (with a big markup).
As of 2022, you'll now get a 1099 if you sell more than $600 for the year

Is this just eBay? Exactly how would the IRS track this on FB marketplace? Or is this just the honor system?

Nope. It's basically everything that provides online payments that offer buyer protection (PayPal Goods & Services, Venmo G/S, eBay, etc.)
What's ridiculous is that the old criteria used to be either 200 transactions a year or more than 20K in online sales to be issued a 1099-K.
Now it doesn't matter how many transactions, and you get a 1099-K once you go over $600 in sales for the year. You can write off the initial purchase of the item as a business expense, so you're only taxed on your profit.
But for club hoes like a lot of us, now we have to start keeping up with purchases & sales for everything

That is super annoying. I'm definitely in the red on all my shite, but didn't keep all my receipts for everything.

It'll be a complete shitshow by the time 2023 rolls around and the IRS has to process all these. More than half of the country is going to have 1099s lol

Callaway preowned has always been fair to me. They carry numerous brand used and you can just ship them the clubs you want to trade in. Very easy.

Rock bottom golf if you plan on using credits to buy something else from them using said credits.

facebook by a long shot,
but the trick is to join these groups and not only post your stuff your selling but in the search bar type "ISO" or "WTB"
stuff youre selling and there are tons of people with posts like that looking to buy stuff and you can comment or message them what you have.
trading is also on the table and you can get some good value if people desperately want what you have.
Ive turned $400 into a $1200 bag
took a year but it helped me also try stuff i like and not loose money if i didnt get on with it
