Someone is going to get hurt eventually.

And golfers should have to use foam golf balls now, too. Sounds like a good “safety first” attitude. Better yet, everyone should stay home. The sun is too dangerous and some of these courses have hills where people may slip and fall.

Full of beer. I am sure you would take one to the head or face without complaint.....

Are you comparing the inherent risk of golf and walking on a hill to someone throwing a beer can?

You can try and support what happened without making a ridiculous comparison like you did

I think it looked dumb, and is forced for the fans to try and make a “gram” moment. It’s just a joke. Get hammered and spray beer all over yourselves. That’s cool. Throwing the cans on the green? Amateur hour

Eh, when it was for the hole in one it was fine. That is so rare.

But doing it again because Big Rig Higgs showed his boobs was overkill

I can make real comparisons if you like. The same thing happens when Ole Miss hits a HR. Beer goes everywhere in the OF bleachers. No one cares or has ever cared and it’s been happening for years. But people aren’t used to seeing it at a golf event and these old, getoffmylawn types are offended and pretending like it’s super dangerous. It’s hilarious.

ETA: and my point was that this is happening for one specific result at one specific course for one specific tournament. These people are more likely to get skin cancer, twist their ankle walking around, or even get in a wreck to and from the course than they are getting hurt via a flying beer can.

Do they throw 100s of cans onto the field near the outfielders?

I have no issue with the party atmosphere and going nuts. Throwing beer cans, and a lot of them full of beer onto a putting green is a joke.

You obviously haven’t seen it happen. Yes, beer cans get on the field.

Of course and they need em. Sad to listen to the golf channel on Sirius wring their hands over the fans behavior. So wimpy.

PGA tour media has been loving it. They must have shared a version of each instance about 10 times.

Please show me the littering of 100s of beer cans on the field. It doesn’t happen, period. Does 1 make it on the field every now and then? Sure. But it’s few and far between

So your faux concern is for the 3 OFs and the golfers but not the people in the stands. Got it.

And you can look up the Hr shower videos. No. It’s not as large of a crowd so not as much goes on the field but it’s the same reaction and no one has cared for over a decade.

It is dumb for several reasons:

1. Why waste good beer?
2. Wait until Rahm takes a full beer to the head.
3. It damages the greens for other players.

I don’t give a shite about the injury argument. I think throwing full beer cans on a green is a joke. Throw the beer all over yourself like every other celebration fans do.

Throwing your can into the green is stupid as shite and a look at me moment

Because your analogy was idiotic

Just say, the chance of someone getting injured is low. Don’t compare it to walking on a hill. Because in the rare occurrence someone got hurt from a thrown beer can, it’s not relatable to twisting an ankle on a hill

It’s not idiotic when you want ti show people how low the risk is and use something as simple as walking up or down a hill to make the point of how harmless it really is. They’re not supposed to be relatable in terms of the actions being similar. The point is the simplicity of walking on an uneven surface. Don’t get bogged down in the analogy. You already said you “don’t care” about injuries.

The easiest argument is it easily could have cost cantlay the tournament. His putt bouncing an inch off the ground due to a beer can crater on the green. It’s just a clown show

Just celebrate exactly like ole miss baseball does and everyone moves on
