What do yall think of them this year? I have not really gotten a chance to watch them or Big 10 football for that matter. Their offense looks very explosive, unlike most Big 10 teams. Judging from their previous games/results, it looks like they are playing solid defense. They seem to be a legitimate top 5 team.

Anthony Morelli singlehandedly made that team worse the last few years.

We're not that bad...our schedule hasn't been great but I think we're playing at a really high level.

We've lost six defensive linemen (2 are back) and our best LB (All-American Sean Lee) but we've soldiered on with the guys we do have. I'm really proud of this team to this point but Michigan is a mental road block, we haven't won at Columbus in 7 straight tries (since 1978) and Michigan State at the end of the year will be a tough game for us.

It's a long way to the end of the season but the Lions are playing really good football right now.

You guys have such short memories. Two years ago, Michigan and Ohio State looked like this. They are playing their own. Just wait.

We did ok against Oregon State...USC not so much. FWIW we have had much more success out of conference than the Bucks and Wolverines in recent history (beating Tennessee a couple of years ago comes to mind.)

You realize you are making my point. You can't determine anything when the Pac 10 and the Big 10 play their own.

True...but we're not in the PAC 10. We haven't had a problem in bowl games in recent years against most of the teams we've played against. We're not playing the best of the best like A&M last year and Tennessee the year before but we're playing and beating good teams OOC in bowls.

From what I have seen (not much) they have looked very good. Their offense seems to be a good mixture of run/pass and they look to be explosive. I am happy for them. They have a great college fanbase, a great, classy coach, and are a historical powerhouse.

Thanks Stamps. The offense we're running is really unique and it's really opened up and loosened up the team this year. Hopefully we can keep it up the rest of the year.

I tend to call big ten teams overrated, but from what i've seen PSU is legit.

There has been nothing thus far to dispute the fact that Penn State isn't very good. They didn't blow out Purdue but aside from that they have been pretty incredible.

The question regarding the Big 10 does have merit after the last two National Championships, but I also think it can be a little unfair.

From what I've seen they seem to be for real, but they'll have back to back tough games at Ohio State and Iowa.

Yeah that Purdue game was a little rough. We came out flat and even though we did dominate the numbers (outgained them by nearly 200 yards of offense...Royster had 18 carries for 141 yards and even Green had 7 for 54 yds) it was one of those slow moving Big 10 early ESPN games.

If we're seriously going to compete the rest of the year we just have to keep spreading the ball around and keep getting pressure on the QB. Those two things are what's really been driving us this year.

That 48-7 throttling at Wisconsin should've really been 62-7. It could've been worse for the Badgers.

I'm happy to see Penn State doing well, but I'm even happier to see Daryll Clark playing well because I know his family (I'm good friends with his brother) and used to love watching him play in high school.

gobucks...he's the man!

pioneer my best friend is an LSU alum and he pointed me here a few years ago. I definately root for LSU when they're not playing the Lions (which is pretty easy to do since we've played LSU all of one time ever...winning in 1974 16-9) and he usually roots for PSU when they're on.

I think their women's volleyball team is unbeatable and going to win back-to-back championships.

Oh wait, we're talking football. Well I think their football team is really good and potentially headed to Miami.
