Munich was very very cool. Stephensplatz is the main square and while beautiful it is touristy I wouldnt spend a lot of time there except in the evenings or early hours. Tons of really interesting Nazi history, like litterally everywhere. It was the starting grounds of the party. Beer is everywhere, which is very nice. I loved all of the beer gardens especially Viktualienmarkt Beergarden it is outside and a great place to people watch. Hofbrauhass is cool to see but def touristy.

The city is super walkable too.

I would def do a day trip to Regensburg if you are into untouched medieval town in Germany. Really cool city and not a far train ride.

I forgot, the park is really cool too, we rented bikes and hit up a few bad arse beer gardens in the park. People also surf in the park, which I thought would be really gimicky, but was actually really fun.

The palace there I didnt think was all that if you have seen Versailles or any other royal palace before.

What do you like is the question?

English Garden? People lay out, there is a bier garten in there that gets full in the late afternoon.

Watch the locals surf in the river? Look up Eisbachwelle

You like cars, BMW museum is cool.

Want to be depressed, go to Dachau.

etc etc

It’s a great city. Small enough to not be a ‘big city’ but tons to do. Tons to do. Food is great and tons of beer gardens, very athletic and outdoor based city also.

I enjoyed Munich. We did a lot of walking downtown. I remember seeing their version of the Crown Jewels in the Palace.

We did not do a lot of fine dining there but I remember an enjoyable meal we had at an old historic beer tavern right across from the side of the cathedral which was Pope Benedict’s old church. Great beer, sauerkraut, and the local sausages.

On the way there we stopped at Dacchau late in the afternoon. That was a very moving experience. It was quite a contrast three hours later when we walked in to the Hofbrauhaus with the band in full swing, and realized that we were the only sober people there. We soon blended in nicely.

Are you referring to Vilseck or Munich?

Munich, don't know anything about Vilseck. I'm assuming Flying into Munich and Vilseck is the job site?

Germany is an extremely under appreciated travel destination IMO due to the Nazis. Great economy, great workers, very clean, very athletic, and very organized country.
