Anyone had success using heat reflective coating (or some alternative) on a metal roof to reduce indoor temps? My A/C can’t keep up!

Air gap. Put something on the underside of the perlins like thin particle board or something.

Or....
In my old arse house I bought the previous owners put a radiant Blanket over the entire attic. Over the blown in insulation and air ducts. Giant silver sheet.
It works amazing. I still have the old aluminum single pane windows
I don't know what it cost them but my electricity bill for this age home is pretty good.

How many square feet is your house and what tonnage are you running on your AC? One or two story?
Edit: how old is your unit?? And how old is the house?
