Leaving Saturday (preferably not too late).
Returning on Thursday (again, preferably not too late).
It is to assist family members whose daughter was in a really back wreck and is hospitalized.
As, such, even more so than previously, your or others) help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the hospitalization. But let's try to find you some good options
American, Delta, and United all $254 for a one-way there on Saturday. Checked southwest and nothing good getting in at a reasonable hour. I also checked baton rouge and it's the same price. You've got tons of options leaving early morning, midday or afternoon to get up there so the main thing I'd keep an eye on is the weather for Saturday at whatever connecting airport you pick. Dallas looks hot and dry, Atlanta sunny, avoid Charlotte t-storms, Houston has morning t-storms as well

On the way back, it's $241 on Southwest, united, American or delta. There's an 840am on Southwest through Saint Louis that would get you back by 12:35pm, seems like a good option? I can't link the southwest site but it's on their main page LINK
Total would be $465 on any of the airlines, I'd probably recommend two one-way tickets on different airlines going with whatever time works best for you and. Also since I think these prices are for the cheapest tickets, on united you don't get a carry-on bag with the basic economy ticket, American you do, Delta you do, and Southwest that plus checked bags.
