DP World Tour event at The Old Course. I’ve never heard of this event before, but it has a Pro-Am Team competition in addition to the professional individual competition.
Rory McIlroy is teamed up with his father as his partner & Matt Fitzpatrick is playing with his mother.
Kelly Slater, Bill Murray, Piers Morgan some of the other names I noticed playing as amateurs.
A number of LIV golfers are also playing, the 2 highest ranked in OWGR being Louis Oosthuizen & Talor Gooch.
In fact Louis’s entire Stinger GC (South African) LIV team is playing including the 5th/alternate member Hennie Du Plessis.

Went and watched the final round 5 years ago before a week of golf at the old course. It’s DP Tours version of the Pebble Beach pro-am. Old Course, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie.

It's a public course. You don't even have to have a tee time to play.

Was invited by one of my vendors, stayed at the old course hotel. Played old course, new course and Kingsbarns. Actually met Rory at the hotel. Unbelievable trip, bucket list for sure!

Did you book your play through an agency specializing in St. Andrews packages?
I played it in 1984 while still in the USAF. Since I was on active duty they gave me the same fee that a local town resident would pay. Although I had seen the course numerous times on TV, the caddy was an immense help. I tipped him accordingly.
