Looter Statue

My fellow farkers,
I've noticed increasing discussion here lately from our contributors suggesting it is time for the Looter to retire. My own opinion is he has definitely been a classic out of the post Katrina era that we will never forget. However, I agree he has been overfarked at times.
An idea came to me the other day that we should do one final fark session of the Looter by designing a statue for the City of New Orleans in honor of the looter before we put him to rest. Besides designing the statue, our forum should also decide on the rightful location to display this post Katrina icon. Please feel free to submit your contributions. Perhaps Mayor Nagin will like it so much that he'll inscribe the TigerDroppings Fark Board on the plaque for the inspiration of this new tourist attraction.
I present to you... The Looter
St. Roch Looter - Anyone who grew up in New Orleans would probably agree with me that the neighborhood around the old St. Roch Market on St. Claude Ave. probably comes closest to looter's childhood neighborhood. Personally, I believe this is where his statue should be constructed. Investors could reopen the St. Roch Market, sell concessions and run tour busses from this spot. Beautifully constructed of mosaic tiles with a Raku finish, The St. Roch Looter will be built to stand the test of time and future floods.
Jackson Square Looter - A new addition to Jackson Square and photo opportunity for tourists.
Riverfront Looter - Enjoy the looter and the memories he gave us all as you look across the mighty Mississippi River.
Lakefront Looter
French Market Looter
Looter Circle - Perfectly balanced high above the City of New Orleans, he'll never drop a bottle!
Please feel free to submit your contributions. Most of you are extremely talented and can probably come up with better ideas. Enjoy!

Maybe put the statue in a fountain so it looks like he is wading through the water.

Here's my "tribute"....
replace theses:
with these:

There's a great little buzz bar right there on St. Roch... can't remember what it's called....

Good suggestion!
The Mardi Gras Fountain, on the Lakefront, would be a great spot. Unfortunatley, it sustained damage during Katrina and is now in the current condition below.
Mardi Gras Fountain - current condition
Perhaps city officials could scrape up enough funds to at least put the statue in the Mardi Gras Fountain...
Once people would see the statue in the old fountain, I'm sure they'd be able to raise more funds to get the fountain back into full operation!
(Artist rendering of a completly restored Mardi Gras Fountain with the new Looter Monument.)
Who wants to throw in the first few bucks to get this project started?

Wrought iron looter hitching posts would be an outstanding addition to the French Quarter. They would blend in nicely with the rest of the wrought iron in the area. I'm confident your design wouldn't have any difficulty being approved by the French Quarter Zoning Commision!

Ok, it's not a statue - but you say Lootie and fountain, and I think Pat O's, not Pete....
Looks like he's "photobombing" this one:
Hitching posts are to keep stuff from getting away.... I just love the irony

Yurintrouble - I really think you're onto a great idea! Imagine if Pat O's pumped cold water to run the fountain, it would keep the beer cold in his bucket It could be a self service arrangement. Grab a beer from the looter and toss your money into a jar next to the statue...You wouldn't have to tip him either! They could assign one attendant to make sure the looter had a full supply of beer in his bucket.
...Excuse me sir, but you're out of Looter Lite.

suggesting it is time for the Looter to retire.
I've been saying that since like a month after the pics popped up. I just don't think it's funny and has become way over played. It was funny when people were actually creatively making farks with him. Now people make a fark and just photochop the looter randomly in the background and people think it's hilarious. Most internet memes last a few weeks or months, but you people cling to the fricking looter for years.

My suggestion:
Rename Big Daddy's "Big Lootie's", and have two hands holding Heineken's swinging in and out instead of legs. Would make a good .gif but I don't know how to do it.

These are great even if I am tired of the looter.

Pretty sure "you people" are the ones without photoshop (or GIMP)...
