This program was 'circling the drain' when CBK arrived
Anyone halfway grounded was thinking 6-6 or best case 7-5. There are going to be some ugly Saturdays. The realistic timeline to fully bring this program back is 2024. Take your Prozac!

This has been an epic week of melts on this board. I think the last time the melts were this bad was Troy. I don’t even remember UCLA being this bad last year.

Expectations are why les was fired.

Expectations are why Orgeron was fired.

Expectations are not a problem. If Brian Kelly cannot meet the Expectations, he will be fired.

I wasn't able to watch much Saturday but from what I read and the gamecast I was able to watch he seemed to be desperate and be out-classed and out-coached.

The longer Polian stays on the staff, the less I respect Brian Kelly as a coach.

The hell with decades of success. When you start losing the respect of jb21lsu, it’s time to take a good hard look at yourself as a coach.

Translation: I have no clue what I’m talking about but this is the rant and I will offer my opinion anyway.

So you agree with going for it on 4th down in our first red zone attempt (0 points) or 4th and 10 at the end of the first half (Tennessee gets possession at midfield which allowed them to get a fg). I don't have to watch the actual game to know that was foolish. He was pressing the whole game.

Edit: I see there are 9 dumbasses that think it's a good idea to give the #1 offense in the SEC possession at midfield with time to score. Many of you lack general knowledge of football and it shows.

It seemed like before the season most fans accepted that 7-5 or 8-4 would be our ceiling this year and most aren’t upset with the results as much as they are the coaching and exactly how things are playing out on the field. Often times our guys look unprepared. Special teams is an absolute abortion and we could look better offensively - a lot of that falls on coaching. All summer everyone was shouting “alignment” and nothing looks aligned at the moment

Sure “circling the drain” after 20 years of top-10 recruiting classes, 4 SEC titles, and 3 natties the best of which was just two years ago.

Since it seems like college football is a blip on the calendar then a long drawn out wait I think that makes it tough to realize we have to wait more. Or people dream too loudly hoping we're better.

My takeaway from this is , " They suck."
I would not argue with that. The next spanking is coming , this Saturday evening.

Success against mid-level competition not the SEC gauntlet.

My pre season guess was 7-5. We had 39 players for the bowl game. This program is a work in progress.

You are right Bayou T, but you are dealing with people who do not understand these things.
