Is this a surprise?

They're ranked #1. They have an experienced QB and a Saban defense. Our QB will be great but is a freshman. I'd pick them too. I'm pulling for us but they should be favored.

They are #1. We got beat easily by the other two top 10 teams we played...get used to most people picking them this week.

FWIW..I heard Gary Danielson on local sports talk radio today(Ft. Myers, FL)say LSU matches up well with Alabama and this should be a more "comfortable" game for the tigers (whatever that means). He goes on to say Alabama has the edge at QB and coaching, but that LSU has a huge home edge because of the significance.I always thought he was anti-tiger, but he is picking us to win a close one.

what the frick does he know, huh?
