This is the Strategy LSU needs to employ...I dont care how many pick 6s LEE has had ...there is no way LSU beats Bama by coming out of the gate timid. Bama is expecting LSU to try to pound the ball, and LSU must take it's chances early with the play action and spread offense to loosen up their D.

If it doesnt work..so be it...but we arent running the ball early against Bama...just isnt gonna happen.

I say we need Dickson and Lafell to have really big games...

Nooo. Alabama has as solid a Defensive backfield as LSU has faced. If LSU passes over 25 times they are in deep. Throw enough to keep them honest, take a couple of long shots. Thats all they need to put air under the ball.

I would go the exact opposite... Run early... Run Often...

Use our Strength, not our weakness.

Throw deep ball to Lafell and Byrd down the side lines or deep post patterns. Burn'm once or twice. Lee has a cannon. Just avoid the screens and shallow over the middle passes.
Bama has the best run offense in the SEC because they dont trust SJP to throw the ball. Shut Bama's run down and make SJP try beat us.....

Yes, but our O-line is the best in the land. And Cody will not be 100%

I think a few deep balls early will help soften up the D for the run vs. trying to bang it early and ending up with 3rd and longs on the first couple of sets.

He is not stepping up into the pocket on release, only flinging it off his back foot..

Maybe play action pass would have been the better call vs the five wide we ran on the first play

Trying to run early worked against Florida.

Did you see JL hit Lafell in the endzone against Tulane. Damn that ball looked like it was fired out of a howitzer!!

Fiixed it. We need a back that does it on the field not on the bulletin board.

Running back out of the back field attacking the middle of the field seem to work well vs Sabans D
