Given Saban's continual public appreciation of the LSU program and his behind the scene's love of Baton Rouge over Alabama, which I understand to be confirmed from several circles, do you think Saban deserves a welcome to Tiger Stadium that is hostile and disrespectful??

Or, has the hatred worn off and the appreciation of his accomplishments this year taken some of the steam out of LSU fans' spite?

I am personally not a Saban fan....wasn't one even during his tenure at LSU.....too many losses to low-ranked teams! I appreciate the winning of the NC in 2004, but never thought of him as the "genius", and also thought of him as somewhat of a "prima donna", but he has made it known that LSU is a special place, and likely would've liked to have never left if he knew what he knows now. That's something I can respect!

Answer: No

He will get boo-ed and then the game will start, just like the others.

I think he deserves a warm welcome - not a cold shower of boos. Let the past be the past, and play the damn game.

He did much for LSU, and though I don't like his mercenary ways, its his damn life to live as he sees fit.

To do anything stupid - just makes LSU fans look classless - on national TV.

I've never booed at a team or player. I have booed a ref, though. I just sit there in silence while they take the field.

I am not a fan of booing unless its a bad call by the Refs. But Saban will not get any Love at Tiger staduim. The visiting team always gets booed when they come on the field. The media will spin that anyway they can.

Look everyone knows he will be booed. Nothing will change that and it is not worth worrying about.

Every away team and their coach gets booed in Tiger stadium. Not just Bama's coach!

The question is - do LSU fans really care if they are criticized?

Little more worried about his team kicking the shite out of ours. Nick will be okay. Any fanbase would boo/cheer under these somewhat bizarre circumstances. Who cares what the nets say, they're populated my morons. For example, I had a network job once.

I won't boo him, but 90% of TS will.

Nothing is going to change that.

I think the booing of him as well as our starting qb will be looked down upon by the national tv audience. Hell, we might even boo the playing of the national anthem also.

Every opposing team of worth gets boo'd
Im sure some of our fans will act as predicted and CBS will focus on that, unfortunately, but the majority will be focused on a matchup against the #1 team in the country and what should be a great football game.

Where was the LSU program BEORE Saban?

And after?

I'll boo Bama but Saban did help the program. No doubt. People that deny that are idiots.

Probably but then fans boo the other team all the time. It's to "get under" their skin. I got over the whole Saban thing last year when Les and crew went to UAB and try to give that game away as best they could but still won.

We had our cake. Now just relax and enjoy.

No, but the FU Saban chant that will be started by the pussies in the student section will and should be criticized.
