If Mickey Joseph doesn’t stay at Nebraska there’s a good chance that he’ll decommit

I thought we let this kid go?

That’s pretty much what happened.
To be precise, Miller camped at LSU in June, and his performance was less than spectacular. As a result, Hankton and the staff didn’t press to get him back on board.
(b/c, if you remember, Miller decommitment from the class in May)
It is worth noting that Miller has had a really strong senior season, and I believe the staff has remained in contact with him. That being said, they have not pressed for him and I don’t see it happening, quite frankly.
Word that I have consistently picked up on is that Harvey Broussard would be the next in line if they decide to extend another WR offer for 2023.

Harvey Broussard is a good kid who has also had a great season at St Martinville. Have a friend who does radio in the area and has raved about him all year.

MJ signed a deal that make them keep him on staff. LINK LINK .
Thats not what that says

One interesting wrinkle in the updated contract is related to what happens if the Huskers select someone outside the program as the next coach. If someone other than Joseph is selected, then he immediately resumes his duties as wide receivers/passing game coordinator/associate head coach under his previous contract.
That does not mean the new coach is forced to keep Joseph. It’s extra protection for Joseph that he would receive his original buyout should he not be retained by the new coach.
Its just a fully guaranteed contract if he does get let go he's owed his original contract remaining in full which isnt much anyways. $600k or so, it was a 2 year $600k/yr deal signed in December 2021.

Insane that people keep repeating the mickey joseph will stay on the Nebraska staff in perpetuity.

We live in a world where people take one line of text as gospel while refusing to educate themselves on the topic further by researching themselves.

This is not actually what your links say, nor is it true. However, it is also worth noting that Rhule is absolutely the type of guy who would keep MJ around. Rhule is not exactly the gladhand-boosters-and-kiss-babies NIL fundraiser type. Mickey Joseph is EXACTLY that at Nebraska, and that's a role that will be highly important given Nebraska's status as a bit of an NIL sleeping giant. Beyond that, MJ gives Rhule a recruiting pipeline that he wouldn't have otherwise, and one that not a ton of guys have.
Bottom line is that Rhule is a guy who (at least at the college level) has shown himself to be a guy who is very willing to both (1) acknowledge his own shortcomings and surround himself with guys who make up for them, and (2) work with guys he doesn't have ties to or experience with, if he thinks they're right for what he needs.

I heard that LSU was still very much on Miller and are hoping that he will change his mind. He has just been sold on Joseph and not flirting with other schools. I’ve seen Miller in person and he was extremely impressive. I’ve seen a ton of college receivers while they were in high school and he was as good as I’ve seen. No offense to Broussard, but based on his highlights. If LSU prefers him, it’s for a reason other than him being a better talent.

Mickey’s contract has clause that he will stay on staff no matter what coach is hired. He and his agent knew Frost’s days were numbered .

No it says that if he is let go, they still owe him the remaining years on his contract. But since he’s in jail, they can fire him with cause.
