Somebody on here on Tuesday poo-poohed my assertion that Brayden Jobert was finding it.
I responded with the numbers - that he'd bounced his batting average about 60 points in the last 6-8 games.
I think I was right.
Jobert is a better hitter now than he was. Certainly he's better than last year and he's definitely picking up more plate discipline and seeing it better than he has before. Even that K in his first at bat was a foul tip into the glove and he was more or less right on it.
We're devastating 1 through 8 in that order right now. We really don't need dominating pitching. Just keep the staff ERA below four and a half and you'll stay number one for a good while.
