Is this a terrible idea? Mounting a tv in my office for casting purposes and under the mini split is the most practical place.

First thought is the heat from tv messing with the thermostat, but I figure tvs these days probably don’t put off enough heat to make a difference. Plus there’s gonna be a ~1’ gap below the mini split and top of tv. Mini split has a drain line running to the exterior wall so I wouldn’t think leakage. If any moisture runs directly down the wall, the mount should provide enough of a buffer if it’s overnight/weekend until someone notices.

Any other cautionary tales I’m not thinking of?

Like under the blower? Why would it be an issue?

Make sure you keep that drain line clear though. Mine has clogged in the past and that SOB will rain inside if it's a high humidity time with a clogged line.

No other issues I foresee especially since newer TVs produce little to no heat.
