I dont think so, after seeing him play twice this year i really think he will see a lot of playing time next year. I think he is that good.

He'll be like 8th on the depth chart.

possibly...but it looks there is very little doubt that he could play and be effective right away. There are a lot of folks ahead of him though, so a redshirt may be a good idea.

No way he plays next year...
We have too much talent to have to waste his redshirt.
He will be great in a few years.

Michael Ford is incredible, judging by his high school accomplishments. If he steps up at this level, he'll be special. Certainly not redshirted, I hope.

The thing is...the people that he is making himself look great on are highschool players. He has never faced an SEC defense. It is alot different. I think we have too much talent to not redshirt him. Unless he played special teams?

Wasting a redshirt for special teams play is completely retarded IMHO FWIW.

Isn't that what we've done with Derrick Bryant and Ryan Baker?

I think the RB position has several established players. The LB position did not. I don't agree with burning the redshirts for special teams, but they had to believe there would be opportunity to play on defense.

If you're going to look at it like that ... you also have to say that he'll have an SEC line blocking for him not a mediocre high school line.

If he redshirts, it'll be because he has trouble picking up the offense. It won't be because he's not physically ready for the SEC. That part is taken care of.
