Curious how the greens are these days. It can be hit or miss there. Looking to play there in a few weeks.

Played it Oct. 1. They are looking good with a very few bad spots on some greens. To me the only thing that was rough was the tee boxes but the fairways were good. Also the bunkers were wet and need a little work. Had not played it in years but it was better than the last time I went. I don't know what it is about that course but it has always been one of my favorite. I will play it again soon.

Thanks Reese. I love that course too but seems like I only play there every 2-3 years. They used to have problems with a fungus on the greens but it sounds like they have it figured out.

It is 10x better last week than when I played 4 months ago
Greens roll nicely. Fairways are coming in nice. Rough is hard and dry
Supposedly, they have 1 guy who is actually managing it as it should be now.
I was happy to see it back in good form. Really enjoyed the round

My last round there was in March/April and they were sanding the greens a good bit but the course was in excellent shape. Not sure how it has done with this drought but I hope to play again up there before the end of the year. Always one of my favorite places to play.

Played it Sunday morning for the first time. A few tee boxes were hard but not terrible. fairways were great and greens were great too. We played at 7am and around the greens had been watered so heavily that a few shots weren't playable or you were getting your shoes and socks soaking wet. Overall great experience and I will be back. That place was beautiful and a great course IMO.

They have been soaking it around the greens for a while
Believe the intent is pain now for much greater pleasure later.
Either way, course is probably as good as I’ve seen it in 5 yrs or so

Such a fun layout when comparing it to all the flat stuff we have in South La.

Agreed. The tee shot on 18 is absolutely beautiful.

Reasonably inexpensive compared to other courses.

Played it a week ago for $50 on a Friday and the course is in great shape

Weird considering that it’s so close to south la. and yet more elevation.
It’s not like it’s hours and hours away.

30ish years ago, We rented cabins for a family get together. I don’t have many memories of the course. I’m going to need to get up there soon.
