remember just a year ago everyone was freaking out that he would leave for Michigan?? this site was 99% "Please Les stay, we love you so much"
Granted, I was not happy this year either, but we will be fine. It could be worse, we could be auburn!!

Just remember this team got worst instead of better as the season unfolded. To me that's frightening. I really don't believe we have the talent nor the coaching. I see alot of mediocre players on the field. What kind of recruiting has Les Miles been doing?

Actually the vibe I got from around town at the time was of no major concern if he left for Michigan. I think lots of people felt the LSU job is such that we could get an even bigger name to replace him.
I think people were like, "no big deal" if he leaves.

The reason why the team got worse as the season went on was because Hatch got hurt and Lee took over (Offense). I think the Co-D. C. was our biggest problem (Defense) (my opinion).
Jefferson is our starting QB now (Offense). LSU will not have Co-D. C. next year (Defense).
I am hoping that the reason why Coach Miles is not naming any coaching changes, is because the D. C. he wants is still coaching in a Bowl Game.
So the problem that LSU got worse as the season went a long is being taking of.

The reason the team looked worse is because we started playing teams with talent similar to LSU's. We looked pathetic vs Auburn and Mississippi State.

I believe he means what kind of recruiting has Miles done the last 3 years, not this year.
11 players are no longer on the team from the '06 class, so that is a huge hole right there.
I didn't care if Miles left or not...

I really didn't have high expectations for this season. I didn't see losing five games, but still. The QB issue was looming over, and the loss of so many starters last year.
Now there was some bad coaching calls in every loss. I do think we need a DC change, but I think we should stick with Les, now if we had a losing season than maybe, just maybe the negatigers would have a point. Until then Miles is our coach.

I'd say less than 50% of the board was overly concerned with him leaving. We didn't have a big recruiting class, so no one really cared about losing recruits, and honestly, we probably could have gotten a big time guy.

reminds me of Fla last year. Remember the arse-whooping Mich put on them with their "fired" coach, and with Fla's Heisman winner? Do you now see how poor of a team Mich really was?
