Mathews phase 4
Well this is it for the season. I gave it hell all season, was fortunate enough to take 4 deer, including my biggest buck to date. Had some great hunts, learned a lot, made some new friends on the wma’s, and was able to put my brother on his first deer in 10 years. I’m still pretty sad it’s ending though.
In my saddle, next to a slough. This area is tore up with rubs and scrapes. Hunted a tree yesterday about 60 yards from here and saw 10 deer, 9 does and what looked to be a buck about right where I’m at this morning. Hopefully he does what he did yesterday and I can finish the season with a bang. Does are fair game too since I have a buddy that needs some deer meat.

good luck to you. Did you kill all 4 at Sherb? That's a hell of a season there.

Thanks. No, I actually haven’t killed anything here this year, which is odd. I did pass on a good bit of smaller deer though hoping a good one would come by. I killed a doe with my bow in Missouri, and then 2 bucks and a doe in north Louisiana.
