PS3 Problems: Need Help!!!

I was about to play COD: World at War yesterday. When I put it in, the PS3 wouldn't read the disc. So I tried a couple more games, and it wouldn't read those discs either. The PS3 menu will come up fine, but the games won't start up when I put them in. Anybody have this similiar problem, and how do you fix it?

If you bought it within a year and still have the receipt, call Sony. They'll send you a box to ship it back to them and you'll get a new one in about 2 weeks. My husband's PS3 just did the same thing.

That is how my friends started and it eventually totally broke. He waited too long and has to pay 200 to fix it. I would send it in immediately. Next, it will not be able to play blurays, then you will not be able to run it via hdmi, then it will no longer turn on.
Temporary fix, my friend plugged it in through component and formatted the hard drive. It worked again for about a week. Send it in now.

Happened to me, had to send back in. Took about 12 days to get back.

Your bluray drive went out. I had the same problem. From phone call to playing again, it was 15 total days.
