Has anyone made a savory Green Tomato Pie? If so, how was it and what recipe did you use?

I see lots of recipes for sweet versions that are similar to apple pie. I see some savory versions that are similar to the regular tomato pie with the mayo and cheese topping and some that are really different.

I bet something similar to merliton casserole would be pretty good with green tomatoes as a substitute.
