Posted a trip recap with these pics and others on the Travel Board, but I figured the Outdoor Board might enjoy the wildlife photos. Saw all of these last week in Rocky Mountain National Park, Leadville area, Frisco, Loveland Pass, and Mt. Evans Wilderness.

Marmot

Pika

Pristine nature and wildlife are absolutely gorgeous.

Did you use a 300mm for zooming in on the birds?

Nice pics. I'll be at RMNP next week and hope to see plenty of wildlife.

Good choice. Family and I will be in Banff Canada in a few weeks. To hell with a beach this time of year. I get enough heat everyday.

I use a Nikon cool pix p950 which has a max zoom of 2,000 mm but it really starts to lose quality past 800 mm. If I had to guess, I shot the birds around 500-600 mm. Love this camera because it's easy to take hiking without having to lug different sized lenses around, and I still can shoot micro or macro.

Went this time last year. Was amazing! The Canadians were panicking because of a heat wave. It hit 75!
