A decent size doe. Froze it all and completely forgot about processing itself. It’s sitting in my freezer in zip locks not vac sealed. I planned on just mixing with beef to make all ground meat. Still good to grind and eat?? I usually process it fairly shortly after deboning. Not sure how I let this one go.

I usually process it quickly but FIL will freeze his for a 6m-1y before processing if he’s got enough already. Never heard him complain about it being bad or anything

Absolutely still good. Trim off anything freezer burnt before you grind and make burger

I made sausage frozen like you described about a month ago. It was perfectly fine

Trim off all the fat if any left. The waxy fat is usually to the first thing to go bad.

Trim off any freezer burn and send it.

Thaw it in the fridge so it doesn't hit unsafe temps.

Should be good if it didn’t get a lot of ice crystals on it. Probably better you didn’t grind it and then freeze it like you did.

If it’s not perfect soak it in milk a half day and let it drain good over night. Assuming you don’t need to soak it all or have ALOT of milk.
