From Coach O's perspective

If you look at it objectively making your list.
Tennessee positives:
1. More Money
2. Chance to learn under one of the best defensive minds in football in recent history (Orgeron hasn't proven himself to be a coordinator or great coach and maybe he could be taught)
3. Monty Kiffin is out the door in a couple of years
4. Even if Lane Kiffen is gone on 3 years (which he probably will be), hopefully Coach O will have gotten the knowledge he needs from daddy Monty

From my view, I'm not sure that Miles or Chavis like the wife beater very much. This may turn out to be the best for LSU.

It doesn't make much sense IMO. Coach O just said recently how glad he was to be back in Louisiana, and how happy his kids were, and here he had a chance to be a part of a Louisiana Institution as DL coach for LSU, keep his kids in Louisiana, and really be a contruting factor here with his recruiting talents at LSU, and so he runs to Tennessee??? It doesn't make good sense to me.

Coach O never had the intention of coaching at LSU. All that baloney about it being his dream job is a bunch of crap. By the way, he is not bright enough to become a defensive co-ordinator.You Tennesse fans might try to refute this, but I have personal knowledge of the situation.

From enjoying being back home to making an extra 100 grand in Tennessee?
I don't get it, what can you buy with 70,000 dollars extra after taxes? A crappy sports car, a nice bay boat, a nice downpayment on a outdoor pool?
frick you O, I hope you have to freshwater fish in the Smokeys for the rest of your life.

is that what the UT salary is, $700k?

Coach O will make 650k to 700k with incentives added with every top recruit he brings in.

If you have this knowledge, it makes sense w/ the immediate, public declaration of LA/LSU love, etc. That seemed to be either: a.) poor business decision in regards to LSU negotiation, b.) LSU vs. Saints negotiation, c.) Help Kiffen get more $ out of UT for him, make it seem 11th hr decision. No different than a recruit navagiting the out of state committment game, always @ the last minute. O, pardon the pun, the irony!
