I was watching a football game with my 72-year old mother and that commercial came on and at the end she said "his schtick has grown really tired" and I couldn't disagree.
How this commercial got greenlit and Ferrell didn't have enough self-respect to say no is beyond me...

The Campaign is one of my favorite movies and I thought he was brilliant in it. Step Brothers? Classic.
But, his shtick is not working anymore. . . he's too old to be acting this goofy. For God's sake, Elf was over 20 years ago.
