2016 F150 5.0 140K miles.
Had Orange Wrench of Death show January 2024 and had Lead Plate replaced. Four weeks ago the truck did not feel right. I brought it in and it threw Lead Plate on the diagnostics and had it replaced again.
Anyone have this issue ?

Who is changing the lead frames, and are they using genuine OEM Ford parts?
Everyone shits on the dealer, but if it was a genuine Ford part, put in by a Ford dealer, it would have a 2 year warranty.
Unlike the $80 lead frames available on Amazon or eBay.

Yes. I went through the exact same scenario. Dorman lead frame is junk it needs to be OEM.

Ive had a Dorman lead frame replacement in my truck and in at least 3 of our fleet trucks. no issues all are at least 3-4 yo installs.

I am glad you’ve had luck, it wasn’t the same for me.

I bought an OEM lead frame from a dealer up north on the internet and did it myself. Watched a video and followed the detailed instructions. Actually wasn’t terrible. I’ve also changed the steering twice. First time sucked, second time went pretty quick.
