Willie won’t be fired while 4-5 of the top 6 players are out. Come mid to late December, he will be on a short leash.

Different situations. DA is a loser HC, season is over for them, and he lost the players.
Pels won 49 games last year and made it to the playoffs. We are only 8 games into an 82 game season.
Saints are 2-7 and DA has never come close to the playoffs.
If Willie has the Pels at 13-31 more than midway through the season, I guarantee you he’ll be fired too. But they won’t fire him 8 games into the season with 80% of the starters and the 6th man out unless the players really want him gone.

Im not a huge Willie guy but going 9-8 with the easiest schedule in league and missing playoffs in football isn’t the same as getting 49 wins in a ridiculously tough western conference and making the playoffs. Willie has his flaws but hes not in the DA category.
