Thanks for posting this Scuba. Wish I could have made it out there.
This freshman class looks legit.

I like Rizy. Think he can help this year.

I saw only a few of the scrimmage crew Sunday considering the large crowd. I think alot of fans from the New Orleans area made the short trip over.

Scuba - who's catching your attention or making a move this Fall?

I don't like to give my opnion on individual players, especially during the fall. I will say that Coach Johnson has done a great job bringing in talented players to fill the holes from last year's team.
The pitching staff will have a handfull of potential weekend starters and the bullpen will be solid. Some of the freshman pitchers seem to have the talent to be weekend starters in the future.
As for position players, there are enough good players to make two starting outfields. All but one potential starter are lefties.
I think most of the infield is set except for third base and catcher. I think we will see three catchers share time this spring with the hot bat getting most PT. Third base has not been laid claim to as yet, with a freshman as one of the leaders there. Coach has been juggling the infielders during scrimmages trying out different combinations. i feel confident that we will have a good starting infield come spring.

It’s gonna be hard to keep Curiel off the field if he keeps this up.
