Can Sid de-seat Broome? I think the best hope was to get support behind Ted James, that clearly didn’t materialize. So Sid ends up with 34ish%. Can he get some of the split Dem vote?

The St George tax is going to be on the runoff ballot. That’s 86K potential votes that hates SWB. He can win. Hopefully he has the money for the runoff.
Low Dem turnout for the runoff.
Low Dem turnout for the runoff.

I think that will be a given. The key will be getting the Republicans to not only turn out but better than they have in the previous runoffs. Hopefully anti-Broome sentiment will drive not only that but possibly get some Dems onboard as well. I think by and large Ted James supporters will stay home. If Sid can split some of the vote of the ones who show up he has a chance.

I voted James and barely even looked at Sid. I am very much anti broom and thought James had the best chance to unseat her. I didn’t think Sid had a chance at all. I will take a closer look at Sid before the election and I think there are many like me (white guy registered dem in mid city who doe not think well of Broome)
