Is anyone going to Rave at Mall of LA to watch this? I know tickets are pretty pricey but I just won a pair for free! I haven't heard much about it other than it's supposed to be really cool. Believe me though I wouldn't go if I had to pay. I was just wondering if we were going to be the only ones in the theater.

I'm not going. I have heard that college football in 3-d sucks. You shouldn't go either. If you want I can find two shmucks that would take your tickets and go waste their evening. Just let me know.

Do they serve booze at the Rave?

Maybe I'll sneak in my game flask.

Why didn't they show LSU last year. That proves it, the Rave hates LSU.

Hmmm, good point. Does Disney control Rave too?

My new 52" Samsung HDTV looks like it's 3D anyway (Damn Fine Picture). Plus, I only have to walk 20 feet to get a cold one.

I saw that when I was at the Rave in Little Rock. How much are tickets?

One thing I thought is, I'm usually use to spending about 90 minutes in the theater when I go see a movie. Watching a football game there would take much longer.

Plus no beer.

Aren't the tickets like ridiculously expensive? I thought about going when I thought it was the price of a regular movie, but I'm not shelling out big bucks to watch the Gaytors and Boomer Sooner.

The tickets were $25 but mine were free. This is the first time this has been done so the kinks still need to be worked out but it was AWESOME! They sold beer and wine there, also hamburgers and BBQ brisket sandwiches. It was pretty expensive but they said that the catering was last minute and next time they are going to try to find something cheaper. We got there a little before 7 and we could hardly find a seat! When you sat and watched the game it was like you were right on the field with them. I think everyone had fun. They are also going to broadcast the NBA All-Star game and Slam Dunk Contest. They said that the tickets for that are $18. They are also going to try to broadcast the LSU games since this went so well. If you went I hope you had as much fun as we did!

Did you have to wear the goofy paper glasses?

They aren't the class you are used to seeing back when 3D movies started coming out. These aren't paper and they are lightweight and you didn't even realize it. It wasn't bad at all.
