I’m buying a new fiberglass boat, and I’m trying to decide if I should put a ceramic coating over the gel coat before I use it. Would you? And if so, what product would you use?

I’ve had it on 2 offshore boats. IMO for what it costs it doesn’t last long enough, atleast not if you use boat a lot. It’s amazing when you first get it, but after about 6-8 months it seemed like it wore off or something. Even using the “conditioner” stuff they say to use. Maybe it’s due to constantly being scrubbed and washed down with salt water while offshore, not sure.

But we ended up just going back to a quick spray coat of woody wax every few trips.
