The Hunt for the Double Digit Continues

I caught several bass that were close, but Im as honest of a fisherman you will find and I can't just lie to myself and say I've caught one over 10. I've been to Bussey Brake several times and caught a few over 8 and 9, we're planning on going back at the end of this month and several times next month. I would love to go to OH Ivie, but that's too far to travel just yet as I'm opening a new business right now as well.
This has pretty much consumed me and is a task that I have to complete! Any other places in Louisiana I need to hit up for a possibility?

Seems like you have them figured out. My first trip there, I caught a 10 and my next fish was a 9. I’d say that’s your best bet for getting it done in Louisiana.
I’ve been wanting to go to OH Ivie too, or south Florida. I just use all my vacation for hunting, so I don’t have time to make the drive to either of those places.

Just wait until you do hit double digits.... Then nothing compares and it's maddening. My pb is just over 12 and I've finally come to accept that I will likely never catch a bigger fish than that... and to think about it that way... it's depressing.
Keep at it and you'll get you one

Caney in March for the spawn. Fishing beds where you can see them and some in deeper water where you can't. Just plan around the High School Tournament.

Caney and Bussey are your best bet in the state by far. Go back and rewatch those MLF days from there a few years back, they were just happening upon good fish every single day
You scoping for them or old school fishing?

I'm not sure where you are, but I fish Lake Fork North of Tyler, TX quite a bit.
It's got a 18-24" slot, and it's got some good ones in it.

If you are a scopper your chances increase drastically this time of year in any lake where they live. Good luck.
