My brother-in-law gave me some frozen deer sticks (slim jim looking sticks of deer meat)

I have never had these before - how do people typically eat these after thawing out? Do you eat cold or do you microwave to warm up? I tried one cold, and it wasn't bad. But thinking it might be better warmed up

Appreciate any advice.

Freezer for long term storage - room temp in zip lok bags when eaten as snacks
Based on my experience, deer jerky and slim jim snacks are gone in a matter of days. Perfect snack for road trips

Cold or room temp

You can warm them up but it's not typical

A buddy gave me some bear meat sticks a few years ago. Taste was good, but those things were greasy AF.

Petosky's venison meat sticks are a must for me each deer season. My boys and I love them. A pack of them is gone before a cat can lick its arse once it is out of the freezer.

I have some from Bourgeouis Meat Market. Let them thaw and ear cold or room temperature. Same smoke flavor as their jerky.

I also have some from Cajun Meat Market. I prefer these crisped up in the air fryer on in the skillet. More like a breakfast sausage link with some heat. Very good also.
