Awesome! I never knew this was a cover. Tommy’s version is the only one I’ve ever heard. One of the 2 radio stations in Avoyelles used to play this and other swamp pop songs every Saturday morning and I vividly remember waking up to my mom jamming to it and running the vacuum. Every. Saturday. Morning. Wish I could go back to those days though.
