Is Missouri State able to become bowl-eligible? I vaguely remember some rule about that not being allowed in the first two years a team jumps from FCS to FBS.

IIRC transitional teams can go if there aren't enough 6 win teams to fill all the slots.

I would ask if Derek Mason is already in trouble at MTSU but they did let Rick Stockstill have 18 years at the helm so I assume he will at least get a third season next year.
