The future of drones is in the guidance and power systems and to survive and execute autonomously. I don’t know that is a strength of the Ukrainian drones.

The Devil is in the details.

We are great at high-cost high performance precision munitions but could use a maas produced low-cost solution to go with it, especially for an adversary such as China.

Save to good stuff for targets that matter or are high value and use the cheap bulk stuff for easier targets. Better bang for the buck.

I would rather the EU pay for the Tomahawks and the USA use drones by Anduril and other American companies.

Anduril would be a "mid-teir", while cheaper they are very expensive compared to Ukraine drones. Ukraine drones would probably be for the squad/platoon level and passed out like MREs.

The value proposition of the trade would depend on what we are getting and how many.

I assume it's mostly for tech, training and field expertise.

And political cover to give away weaponry.
