According to what I read he advised a recruit from Florida to deny his visit to Tennessee to the school whom he had a verbal to so they wouldnt put extra pressure on him about his visit to T. Sorta the same situation we had here. He also insulted the H.S. by saying they weren't smart enough or couldn't be trusted to send in the Kids LOI by Fax.

He apologized to the Pahokee HS coach. He said late last week that he got recruit Nu'Keese Richardson's aunts to fax the LOI to him early Wednesday morning b/c he didn't want anything to happen when everyone found out that Richardson was picking TN. Seems like the coach just got caught in the crossfire of all the stuff he was saying about Meyer.

Yeah. It was all just a misunderstanding. He never said anything negative about the kid's HS or coach.

I'm not sure about that. Just Kiffin doing more talking. I might be in the minority of some of the TN fans on here, but I really wish he'd stop and just worry about coaching. I guess it's good that he's put some life back in to the program, but some work obviously needs to be done with the players up there and IMHO it's time to focus on doing that(and from what I've read, Monte agrees).

Actually I believe Kiff flat out said he didn't trust the HS or coach. That's was the reason he got the aunt's to fax the LOI. He thought the HS/coach would mess it up or something.

Glad you disagreed because I used a whole bottle of sarcasm syrup on my statement.

You and I might be able to get along pretty well.

I don't see his shite spewing as doing that. I think that will come if he can actually win games. (no offense but I doubt that).

hell yes, I don't wanna hear another word out of Kiffin's mouth that's directed toward anything but his own football team until after the first game.

Monte agrees

can't imagine he's too pleased with his son makin a public arse out of himself. Not many outside of Tenn people respect him right now. He hasn't earned it; that's for sure.

Eh, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. He is obviously a brash, young coach that has stirred the pot. He has people talking about TN football(both positive and negative). After the last few years under Fulmer anything that does that is a welcome site. Everything was ho-hum and boring with him.

If I remember right Monte has actually said something along the lines of "we're going to stop doing all this talking and worry about the football, we've said some things to that got everyone going, but now it's time to be quiet and play football". That's definitely not word for word; but I know it was something like that, which I was all for.
