Roster Size in the Transfer Portal Era

I know we can now have 100 scholarship athletes but do you think teams will have that many?
in old times you stockpiled everyone you could so you could develop the players who weren’t going to contribute for 2-3 years.
Will you see teams focus o recruiting players who contribute each year and pay them more NIL and revenue share vs trying to have 100 man rosters with 50% turnover every year?

Some will - the otherwise uncompensated "scholarship" players are the new walk-ons.
I think you will see budgets constrict the number to something in the high 70s to low 90s of "compensated" players. Even at high numbers, budgets are still finite.

It's beyond pointless to have 85 as it was, 105 just means 35-40 players wont play vs. 15-20 previously

LSU currently needs to add 33 additional players from the portal just to get to 85.
