Dirt and debris inside plumbing

The main water line coming to my house was broken on my neighbor's property on Monday night. They hired a company to repair it and the tech came to my house to bleed the line after the repair was made. This was at 8:00 pm.
I now have dirt and debris in the water and my washer and a toilet are no longer functioning correctly. I called the company to come out tomorrow (Wednesday) to address the issue.
Anybody have any experience with anything like this? Just trying to see what surprises or further issues I should expect with potentially more damage and what should I expect from the repair company.

Change the fill valves on the toilets, pull a cartridge and flush the shower valves, pull the aerators and flush the faucets. Should be fine flush the water heater as well

Been through this before, pain in the arse but just have to do as stated in post above. Don’t forget to dump all your ice from your ice makers and clean the inlet screen, change the fridge water supply filter, washing machine, dishwasher every sink, toliet , water heater etc
When they made the repair they should of went downstream from the incident cut the line and flushed , then repair that before turning water on to the house

Thanks for the tips. Looks like I'll be adding quite a bit to my never-ending to-do list!
