Kiro Buffet opening Baton Rouge.

It looks like a buffet is opening off of Siegen next to the Honey Baked Ham store. They are taking over the space that used to be a buffet a few years ago.
They are supposedly a “seafood buffet” but it looks similar to the other buffet that literally just opened in Hammond Aire.
At $14.99 I’m sure the crowd will be interesting…. Soft opening this weekend

This buffet will surely attract the absolute best of Baton Rouge! I mean they can look forward to guests with great manners, are respectful and considerate to others, and of course would never even fathom the thought of dining and dashing.

“The restaurant announced the change on social media after receiving messages from customers asking to open sooner. The soft opening was previously scheduled for Jan. 27.”
That’s odd.
That’s odd.

We went last night. It was really good. Food was seasoned unlike that one in Hammond Aire. They had fresh schucked oysters, shrimp and hot crawfish. I did not try those. I stuck with the sashami and mussels. They kept this snow crab full so there was no waiting on that. The rest of the dishes were your typical Asian type buffet, except you could tell that the dishes were cooked a little better. The frog legs with onions and jalapenos were on point. There were three or four other seafood dishes. For $23 I was impressed. Hopefully they do well. Every now and then I need to get my mussel and clam fix.

Just got back. Overall, it was pretty good; food was seasoned well. I really have only two complaints: 1) they only filled the pan of snow crabs about once every 30 minutes, and when they did, it was like a stampede. If you weren’t nearby when they filled it, then you missed out. 2) our server wasn’t very good and multiple times we had to put our used plates on the table next to us. There’s also going to be an issue with their floors. Due to the rain the floors were very slick and people were slipping and sliding and they put up WET FLOOR signs. Just a matter of time before someone busts their arse and wants to sue, I’ll be generous since they just opened and give it a 4 out of 5.

We had the same issues on the plates. Being the soft opening. I guess the crab legs worked out better even though I only got small ones and saw other people with massive ones. That flooring might be an issue for them.
That restaurant is really big too. It's going to be hard for the cleanup cruise to get around, especially slip sliding around. Glad you enjoyed the food though.

Yeah, the food in general was good. Large selection of sushi rolls and sashimi, the frog legs you mentioned were great, Mongolian grill, and the crab rangoons were light and airy. I liked just about everything I tried. The only disappointment I can remember was the Peking duck, which was soggy instead of crispy.
