How much other stuff is included in the bill. If it’s simply funding DOE at previous levels, he has to veto it, or he was lying to us.

He was lying to you. Trump has never been a small government conservative no matter how much you want to believe he is.

The spending bill had a Dem rider that says you can't transfer funds earmarked for the DOE to anything but the DOE.

Why can't Massie just be a Trump dick rider?

Life would be so much easier for him. Lol

That spending bill is "veto proof", meaning it passed with more than 290 votes.

For keeping American informed about the spending & weird policy shenanigans of Congress, the GOP and President?

And needless to say -- if EVER an award was handed out to "Grandstanding Attention Whore" -- "useless" or otherwise -- it would be His Grand Tweeting Majesty Emperor Donaldo J. Caesar Trump I, winning it in a landslide.

So you appear to be eagerly ready, willing and able to accept wholeheartedly that there is plenty of nefarious activity afoot, particularly as you specified amongst Congress, GOP and President - that those parties have ulterior motives and I assume (from your perspective) some self-serving agendas scattered throughout.

So if you’re that willing to accept it’s too difficult for you to out of hand deny that those things and activities are too likely to deny……then why wouldn’t you likewise accept the possibility that Massie himself is up to the same type activity, in particular the self-serving agenda part?

Indubitably so.

Yes, it's possible. Anything is possible. Even DC needs their "straight" men.

That said, Massie speaks too much truth consistently. And is despised and opposed by all the same usual authoritarian suspects and minions.

Look, if you dint know what you are talking about, maybe take a break from the Poliboard
quote:

The Constitution states that when the President vetoes a bill, "… he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated…." For example, if the President vetoes a bill that was introduced in the Senate, the bill will be returned first to the Senate where the possible override process would begin. This type of action is called a "regular" or "return" veto.

If, on the other hand, Congress has adjourned within the 10-day period after presentation of the bill to the President (thereby preventing the return of the bill to Congress), the President may refuse to sign the bill, and the bill does not become law—a practice called a "pocket" veto

If a bill is pocket vetoed while Congress is out of session, the only way for Congress to circumvent the pocket veto is to reintroduce the legislation as a new bill, pass it through both chambers, and present it to the President again for signature. According to Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution, when the President chooses not to sign a bill, House and Senate procedures govern the specific treatment of bills returned by the President; passage by a two-thirds margin in both chambers

The president can veto it, which then requires 292 votes in the House and 67 votes in the Senate to pass

Or he can wait to pocket veto it, which means, it has to start from scratch to become law

This bill is no where close to being veto-proof

I can only imagine Massie is getting washed in his own internal polling. Hes decided to try to burn Trump and the 'pubs for the midterms. Just like a petulant child

Hmmmm, sounds exactly like someone else recently. Her initials start with MTG
