McKinley Middle School teacher arrested in Florida on a felony charge involving a minor

The guy did sketchy shite as a teacher in Ascension. Ascension covered it up and he ended up in EBR. The police report from Florida shows on-going abuse. Former MIDDLE SCHOOL students have come forward since about weird interactions and text messages.

PENSACOLA, Fl. (WAFB) - A McKinley Middle School teacher has been placed on leave after being arrested in Florida on a felony charge involving a minor, according to officials.
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System said it was notified that an employee at the school had been booked in another state on a charge involving a minor.
According to arrest records from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Trey King, 40, of Prairieville, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 15, on a felony count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16 by an offender over 18.
Investigators say the alleged incidents that led to the arrest occurred in May 2025, at Pensacola Beach. King is accused of inappropriately touching the victim against their will while at the beach, according to arrest documents. The report further states that this happened between 4-5 times.
A forensic interview was conducted as part of the investigation, and records reviewed by deputies placed King’s vehicle in Florida during the timeframe of the alleged incidents.
King was booked into the Escambia County Jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for January 9, 2026.
In the statement from EBR Schools, which was sent out to parents, the school system says, “We take all allegations of this nature extremely seriously. The employee has been placed on leave, and we are actively conducting a thorough investigation. We are working closely with authorities to gather additional details.”
It went on to say, “As this is an ongoing matter, we are unable to share further information at this time. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority.”
