Baton Rouge Residents?

Does Baton Rouge celebrate Mardi Gras? For instance, do you guys do parades and get a holiday break or do you have to head on over to NO. The reason I'm asking is one of my friends from Baton Rouge said they don't have Mardi Gras. The guy is a bit of a drunk so I don't know if he can be trusted.

Hey don't laugh at me, the guy said Baton Rogue doesn't have that shite. I didn't believe him, considering Mardi Gras is a Louisiana holiday. Just had to get a confirmation

Sorry just laughing at the way you spelled it. I'm sure Baton Rouge has some type of Mardi Gras parade but its probably nothing special. The St. Patrick's Day parade is bad arse though.

Baton Rouge area does have a couple of parades but nothing compared to New Orleans. Basically I agree with your drunk friend.

We live 2 hours north of Baton Rouge and 3 hours north west of New Orleans. Our kids have no school and I believe a couple of parades and Balls. Don't pay any attention to the spell checkers on here that's how they build the post count so they can think they are a great contributor.
