I want to go catch a mess of crappie next week. I hear lake Concordia has some. Need a guide though, anyone know anyone?
Open to other lakes, but I need a guide to take me and trying to minimize driving from Baton Rouge. TIA

Lake Larto/saline complex used to be a world class destination for crappie fishing. I know it fell off years ago. I hear its still decent enough. Its about 2.5 hours from BR.
If I were going to go on a guided trip, i would go to Toledo Bend. I hear they got em. They also have plenty of guides. I don’t know any but I could find out who is good if you want me to.

this. I'd rather drive 3hours for guaranteed good fishing than 2 hrs for questionable.

Concordia is in the same boat as Saline Larto. They are fished out. Fingers crossed the reg changes on Saline work out. It may get the state to make changes everywhere. There is no reason to keep the same creel limits we have always had given the boom in pressure over the last 10 years.

Worst thing they ever did was take the slot off Concordia. Used to be some monsters caught out there. Two friends I fished against hold the 5 string large mouth limit on that lake at 38 lbs.
