I am currently looking at a 2022 Avid 18XD with a Yamaha 90. Anyone have any opinions on these boats? They look great but I don’t have any knowledge whit them?

Quite a few around here and I’ve heard no complaints, mostly 20 footers among the people I know well tho. None get a lot of high use, carport queens essentially. Good riding boat in the calm but typical aluminum beat yo arse up in the rough. I considered a 19 but just kept my glass boat.

Internet search is your friend but I do know they had hull cracking issues like the Vexus during early production but I “think” those issues were resolved

Stay off of big water. Same as any aluminum hull it’s made for the ditches and canals of S La. . Take it where it doesn’t belong even in a slight chop you’ll be disappointed.

I know a guy who will sell you a 19' with a 150 for a really good price! I have fished with him out of it several times in the basin. It's a decent boat but the layout leaves a lot to be desired compared to my X19
