A naval blockade of the strait is in essence a blockade on the Iranian economy and oil exports to China via safe, non-mined routes in the strait that are close to Larak Island and the Iranian mainland.
Didn’t think he had it in him to continue this thing. Panicans will complain about increased gas prices for however long this continues while the Iranian economy whithers on the vine and the Chinese economy takes a massive hit.

And this is has been the central point of this entire thing from the beginning, and a continuation of Venezuela.
ETA: If you view the Orange Man as waging corporate warfare against China, pretty much everything falls in to place.

I think I read yesterday that Trump suggested maybe setting up a toll for all Iranian ships from both directions of the strait. That would be funny.
