Need help ID’ing plastic plug thing on F150 starter

My new starter didn’t come with one, so it’s just an open hole. Do I need to try and find one of these or will it be ok without? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to just leave the hole open. Preciate any help

one way valve for air/moisture

You da man. Figured it was a breather of some kind, but turns out its a drain.
