Listening to 870 from NO and they talked a lot about how poor the officiating was (but didn't say that was the only reason the team played poorly tonight).

Not really, but vandy's center was as bad as he sounded. We NEED to find a way to guard big guys.

Yes it was bad. Vandy did whatever they wanted on offense though. I wouldn't blame the officials.

They were inconsistent. Its one thing to be consistently good or bad but when you go back and forth it sucks. LSU should have won that game but can't blame it souly on the refs.

you can't officiate the way the did. They would let the game get physical and then give out 5 quick ticky tack fouls in a row. Walking was thrown out the rule book. The grey haired guy was terrible

+1

The inconsistency really showed at the end of the game. They were calling things that they had let go all game. And apparently I missed the memo that you can now take as many steps with the ball as you want. These guys tonight were embarrassing.

Let me say this. Vandy's center was good. Ate LSU alive, but the officiating was as bad as it was made to be. I've never been to a more frustrating performance referee-wise. Now granted LSU could of played better, but still can't look anyway from the fact some awful calls where made, many left you scratching your head.

It was bad, the 5 second call, the double dribble by Q. Thorton, the steal attempt foul on Storm, The foul call on Q. Thorton that foul him out, the steel attempt by temple was really bad, I can go on and on.

It was really bad.

No, but the grey haired guy had a quick trigger, and seemingly was always the ref for the Vandy calls. There were a few ticky-tack calls, and some missed calls, but Vandy won fair and square, by pounding the ball into Ogilvie.

Good young team that has beaten Ky, SC,and LSU in recent weeks. Tough matchup for LSU via running their O through their big man. Add in CJ's recent flu and thin build, with a beefy Ogilvie whom went right after him for a career night, help was often not there and/or too late. Stallings had a great game plan and they stuck to it.

LSU is tired, dinged, and were emotionally flat a bit. It was slightly expected given the SEC crown being already wrapped up.

LSU needs some rest.

One No Call that really pissed me off was when M. Thorton was slam down by Steve Tchiengang #33 when M. Thorton jumped after the ball.

That was a really bad no call.

I saw and heard Thorton hit the floor all the way up from section 306

They also missed 3 travels on Ogilvy, 3 3 second calls at least and a few other travels on other players. I never felt like LSU was going to win the game because there was no sense of urgency but the frustation of the officiating takes a toll on the players and coaches.

They certainly beat us but the officials were TERRIBLE. Actually, just one official was terrible, the other two were basically non-issues IMO.

The foul on Q on the loose ball was the biggest load of crap ever. And the consistent travelling by Ogilvy in the paint last night.

yes...this was by far the worst officiated game all season, and you can blame that on the SEC...there's no doubt in my mind that the SEC is telling the officials to call the game in the opposing teams favor (when they play a team that's already in i.e. LSU, S.C., Tenn.)...the SEC is trying to get as many teams into the tourney as possible, therefore they are telling the officials to call the game "bias"....with that being said we still should've won the game last night....
